For reasons that I can't remember we are replacing the carpets in the sitting room, dining room and main bedroom all at the same time. Consequently it is almost impossible to get into the house at the momentas all the furniture is littering the hall, kitchen, utility rooms - basically everywhere.
We ordered carpets for dining room and bedroom, but I couldn't face more wall to wall wooliness so I decided to try a long held ambition to paint the chipboard floor that was underneath the carpet in our sitting room
I'm very pleased with the result. Julian assisted in the process by washing the wood grain tool in between strokes (which is an all important job if you have ever tried this before)
We are both delighted and I am now persuading him to allow us to save a fortune and to do the same (but not woodgrain) in the hall. Save a fortune? The persuading did not take long!
